I export differents passes to Photohop direct from Zbrush. Nice option and really speed workflow. I get the Tipp from the book "ZBrush Character Creation: Advanced Digital Sculpting" from Scott Spencer.

I used 3ds max + Mental Ray and made 3 render passes (beauty, Ambient Occlusion and Z-depth). I combined them in Photoshop. The Z-depth pass work perfect with the Photoshop Lens blur effect.
I hope you like it.

Hi,

this my last privat work for a friend. He draw the concept-character and I bring it in 3D and in scene. It was interesting to mix Mudbox and Zbrush for this pic (first mudbox, and and the end Zbrush for really fine details).
The idea was to create a monster who live in Germany, in the Schwarz Wald. Friends are still working about the story... so I'm waiting for animate it

I did this picture for a friend. He would like to present a part of artist in a small book on a Asian Comic Fair in Germany. In this book appears small comics stories and my illustration in the middle.

Thanks Alex (portfolio on cgsociety here: http://alexfechner.cgsociety.org )

some technical information:
I modeled first the Geisha in 3dsmax and get then more details in Mudbox (and more pleasure to model with this software . There is no extreme details, 'cause I want to get she "clean" and no too much bump or normal maps effect.
I use an occlusion pass for the final compositing in Photoshop.

hope you like it...
